I don't have a Costco or Ace hardware around here. Amazon looks promising. Didn't even think about them because of the weight. They have 40lbs for about $22-$27. Is that about what the price should be? I'm used to $10 for a twin bag of charcoal on Memorial Day or July 4th at Lowes.

Also, anything I should know before choosing the pellets? Are pellets all.about the same? Charcoal is definitely not all the same. Kingsford or nothing in my Weber.

    Right here mane...

It ain't much. It's on both hinges. It's isn't enough to drop it from $600 down to $100, but they just wanted to get rid of it. Good for me.

Nice deal and a super price too. To be honest with you it will probably work just as good as a traeger. I would run it till it's dead. And I bet that will be many years. I know many people with other brands and they all work just like my traeger. And smoke/taste the same. I get pellets at farm places. Our local Farm Bureau and a store called Coastal Farm Supply has them also. If you have those kind of places check them. I don't know what Tractor Supply sells. I've tried many brands of pellets and really cant say one is better than another. They taste/smell different but that's a given. I would go more for the wood you want and not worry too much about brand.

The only thing special about the tragger pellets is they make their own and can control the wood used. Price sounds right. But a bag of pellets will burn longer than the charcoal.
Just pick the wood you want and go cook. There are a bunch of different woods for different meats/cooking flavors.
