My poor trailer is a mess right now. These things being too big and heavy for me to move. I just decided to use the trailer as a work bench. It has NOT been good on my back through out this process. Leaning over that rail has been brutal!

Here's things somewhat together. Didn't get to work on it much today. Need to clean up the shaft flange bolts and get them painted. Hopefully I will get the pinion housing back tomorrow and get it cleaned and painted as well.

Coming home from work this evening I was behind a newer GM 3/4 ton truck and noticed something that got my wheels turning. Earlier I mentioned how someone had moved the shock mounts up on one of these axles. And I made the comment that I assumed they didn't want to get the longer shocks to compensate for a lift. But now I think they had other intentions.

So now my question is... Should I start looking at shock mount tabs and plan on relocating my lower shock mounts? Or would I be ok to move the ones currently on the axle like the other guy did? Of course I would do a better job of welding...
I can see those taking a pretty good hit on the trails.

Not much progress but a little. I have both rotors now. Thanks to Amazon for their "used" condition rotors at $13 each. I bought a set of used 3.73 gears off eBay and got those dropped in. Took the wire wheel to the wheel studs cause I found out the local parts store want $4 a peice for them. Couldn't bring myself to spend $64 on wheel studs for 1 axle. I'll be ordering new hub seals this week and get those put in so I can install the rotors. And try to get the caliper brackets ordered pending on how much my bonus is.
The g80 appears to be functioning properly.

Update on the non axle front:
I did get the weather strip installed. I used a small peice of 80grt sand paper and attempted to scuff the surface. Not sure if it was the smart thing to do to the weather strip, but it appears to be working. Not sure if I installed it right though... We shall see.
