    Bought my daughter a .22LR

So my daughter now has her first rifle...

Picked up this one for her today at Dick's Sporting Goods...

    http://www.ruger.com/products/americ...eets/8301.html

Got home with it, ran some Hoppes #9 followed by some RemOil on a boresnake thru the barrel then went out and did some shooting. We ran 30rds thru it. Dang thing shoots great and has an awesome trigger on it.

    So some pics...

My shots all landed in the lower right of the black, hers are the rest. This was at 40yds, open sights and just resting on deer blind windowsill. I also had three 2x4 scrap pieces that I set up that she was knocking over.

She loves her new rifle...I kinda like it too!

Looks like she learned too well. Glad to see you're teaching her the right things. More parents need to do that, including me. I have guns, but never took my wife or daughter to shoot them.

Nice David. Gotta love Hoppes and Remoil. However, i switched to using Clenzoil on all my guns. Got a Remington 11-87 Matte Black i bought probably 10 years ago.
First time i used it it rained while i was out hunting, by the time i got back to the cabin the sob had rust all over it. Was going to have it redone until a buddy of mine gave me some to try out. Sold me, there is still some rust but most of it is gone. USA,Veteran made. I bought a case of the patches and a couple of bottles.
