Gotta be careful with u joints. Especially if you have a bad driveline angle. I lost one while driving one time, and it beat the hell out of my underbody, and busted the tailhousing of my transfer case.

I've got a rear driveshaft in my shed that's OEM length if you want it... I'll be in Farmville Tuesday for a meeting but can drive further east to meet you.

I'm checking our pick yard this week (they have some VWs and squares in since last visit) for a few small parts, I can check for a drive shaft for you for cost/shipping if you dont get Davids for whatever reason. Just PM me your # and I'll let you know what I see.

Looks like two of the caps came off a while ago and the two ends have been just grinding away at the metal. Guess I just couldn't hear it over my exhaust. It's had minor driveline vibes for a while but I thought it was the trans mount. Got worse after I replaced that but I don't drive much and work only like 5 minutes from my house so I just hadn't driven it long enough to really notice it getting worse until this week when it became very noticeable and went from a minor annoyance to a noticeable issue.

I checked both ujoints when I was under there changing the trans mount 6 weeks or so ago and they looked fine and didn't have any play in them but I guess they could have been bound enough to keep them from moving. Definitely had them go before and not only does it suck but it'll scare the crap out of you too. Pulled a friend out of some mud in one of my Cherokees and got back on the road. Couple miles from the house I was at light and I hit the gas and it just revved and didn't go anywhere. Hit it again and BAM BAM BAM, the ds slammed into the underside of the Jeep so hard it blew my center console open and my rear view off the windshield. Tore the yoke on the axle and the DS up something bad too.

I met and hooked Motorcharge up this PM...he said he was headed home to press in his new u joints into the driveshaft that I gave to him, so he could play in tonight's expected snowfall tomorrow with his K5...

Yep, first two popped right out. Third took some extra hammering due to the POR15 that got in there lol

Thanks again, it's nice having a truck that rides halfway smooth again.
