I haven't yet but I plan on using something like this. Make sure you put an isolator inline though.

Diesels come from the factory with dual batteries. One is mounted on each side and they are in parallel. Sorry don't have a pic.

My old '84, with the 5.7L, came with the optional dual batteries. Check out the "Electrical" section, I know that there are a couple threads on this.
Don't confuse my personality with my attitude. My personality is who I am, my attitude depends on who you are!

"Ability", is What you are capable of doing. "Motivation", determines what you do. "Attitude" defines how "well" you do it! There is no sense in doing anything, if you can't do it right! Do it right the first time, because, when will you have time to do it again?

yea..... and as a matter of fact, it proved its worth again a few days ago.... kitty left the lights on, was informed by a co-worker as they were leaving the office... they offered to stay and help, she laughed and said "it can jump start its self"... with a flip of a switch, (jumping the batteries) it fired right up.... i like it because it isolates both batteries while charging them both but also allows you to jump them together to double cranking amps to self jump start or to support extremely high loads like a lot of winching... http://www.wranglerpower.com/

No, I no longer have any build threads as they were hosted on another site that unfortunately faded away...

    It is for isolating.

Biggs, that 100-210 kit looks pretty sweet and easy to install, what's it run?

It allows both batteries to charge off 1 alternator. But like Biggs said you leave lights on and only one battery dies. Other battery is stall charged. I plan on using 1 battery for truck, then 2nd for winch and stereo.
